Jeep-lovers can’t get enough of the Jeep Wrangler. Its design features and incorporation of modern technology have attracted more fan base while the original go-anywhere, do-anything, rugged no-frills ethos keeps Jeep-purists glued to it. The Wrangler has undoubtedly proved to be a legendary four-wheel machine brand in the United States.  With various unique trim levels to choose from, there is certainly a Jeep Wrangler that will fit your desires. We have compiled a list of various trim levels and their features, making it easy for you to choose your ideal Wrangler.


1.      Wrangler Sport

The Wrangler Sport is the base Wrangler trim, and it  comes in two models; a two-door and a four-door model. The full-metal doors require no skill to remove them. Underbody skid plates, 16-inch steel wheels outfitted with standard tires and rigid axle features make this Wrangler a champ at off-road driving. Other exterior features include LED head- and fog lamps, manual mirrors and locks.

A look at the interior features, it goes without saying it was built for comfort. With features such as cloth seats, reclining front seats, adjustable head restraint, and an easy-to-access passenger seat top that with a sound system consisting of eight speakers, the passengers are sure to enjoy the ride! The cargo area, of this Wrangler, is covered with a mat and it offers tie-down loops.

A powerful V6 engine with a fuel capacity of 4.0 liters and producing 285hp power is employed. This engine, with a six-speed transmission system, provides swift acceleration, especially in the two-door model. Using the six-speed manual transmission system with the easy-to-modulate clutch and long shifter stick ensures more excitement and novelty. However, buyers who do not like the manual transmission can opt for the 5-speed automatic transmission system Wrangler.

Special Editions

The Willys wheeler which is named after the original iconic Jeep is a special edition to the Wrangler sport. It adds more features to the base trim and also tries to live up to the original Willy. Features include a solid rear axle with Trac-Lok differentials, tinted windows, knobby off-road tires, and 17- inch high-gloss black wheels.

It also incorporates modern technology such as Uconnect 430 touchscreen display, Bluetooth phone connectivity with a USB port, navigation and tire-pressure monitor display.


2.  Wrangler Sahara

The Sahara is produced as an only four-door model, and its design features are just impressive! Heated power mirrors, windows, and locks, auto-dimming mirror, keyless entry, and security alarm system are but a few remarkable features.   The door and rooftop are easy to remove and the  procedure used is not complicated.

Its unique large body with painted panels and road noise control makes it outclass most SUV on the road. Having both solid front and back axles, a body firmly bolted on its frame and 18-inch alloy wheels; the Sahara asserts that it is here to bring back the unique feeling of driving a large truck.

The interior provides an upgrade to the sports base trim. These upgrades include; SiriusXM Satellite Radio air conditioning and leather-wrapped steering wheel

The power and engine is similar to that of the Wrangler sport which makes the driving activity more of a hobby rather than a chores.


3. Wrangler Rubicon

For those seeking the ultimate Wrangler then the Rubicon is your best bet. The vehicle exudes both excitement and tackle-anything capability.

With features such as rugged front bumper and 17-inch wheels under wide flared guards, this SUV is one built for toughness. LED reflector headlamps and inbuilt hood insulation are optional features that were left out in power and performance upgrades.

The interior is designed with aesthetics and comfort in mind.  It offers heated front seats with leather trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Uconnect navigation, and automatic climate control. Clear and well laid out controls make the Rubicon easy to use. The 9-speaker sound system will ensure you rock those rocky terrains with ease.

Performance of the Rubicon has been enhanced thanks to an upgrade in the four-wheel drive system. The Rock-Trac 4×4 system couple with Tru-Lok locking differentials, hydraulic rebound stop, rock rails, and a front sway-bar disconnect system ensure the vehicle can tackle even the toughest terrains.  It also has a heavy duty Dana axle in front and a 4.10 axle ratio in the rear axle.

Special Editions

This Rubicon comes in two special editions; Rubicon Recon and Rubicon Hard Rock, which offer upgraded features to enhance its off-road capabilities while at the same time making adventures more enjoyable.

The two editions have common upgrade features including; power window and door locks, auto-dimming rearview mirror, premium speaker system, an electronic vehicle information center, and the Uconnect Voice Command and a Bluetooth infotainment center.

The only visible difference is that that the Rubicon Recon adds more comfort and beauty to the base trim. With red-accent-stitched black leather seats, air filtering automatic temperature control system and a humidity sensor, the Recon proves as to why it should be considered the best bargain.

For off-road adventure lovers, the two editions come with a Sunrider roof and with a Jeep Trail rated kit that will ensure a fun and safe off-roading especially in rocky terrains.
